All emails like this are more than likely a fake. Assume Fake until you can call and ask your Manager/CEO if these are legit.

If you have already sent moneys and realized it was a fake, report the actions to your manager and advise to go to ReportFraud.ftc.gov and report the incident.

Close the browser tab immediately. Disconnect from the internet. Call Us immediately so we can work on the machine and verify nothing has been infected. If you do not call us at least run a malware scan. Change your passwords for all sensitive accounts. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your accounts and monitor them for suspicious logins and postings.

Use 16+ characters for banking, email, and password manager master keys. A 12-character random password is acceptable only for low-value accounts or if protected by Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Traditional antivirus is reactive. You are paying for the mistake after it has happened. • Forget the network: On the glitching phone or computer, go to Wi-Fi settings, select “Forget this Network,” and log back in with the password.

• Try a wire: If a vital device like a work laptop keeps dropping, plug it directly into the router with an Ethernet cable to bypass wireless interference entirely.
